Audience Demands & Filmmaker's Limitations

Audience Demands & Filmmaker's Limitations
Whenever we talk and discuss about Assamese Cinema, at the very outset we need to look at two aspects namely, demands of the audience and the limitations of regional film-makers. Since long, we are accusing our audience for not patronizing regional cinema and pouring their eagerness to bollywood flicks only. Actually regional film-makers are not being able to provide in their films what exactly demanded by the audience. In this era of global revolution, people from every nook and corner get the privilege to watch films being made in different parts of the world. So it is not unnatural on their part to demand more from regional film too. But on the contrary, the regional film-makers can not go beyond because of many aspects relating to the process of film-making. These aspects and underlying reasons are vary from the budget constraints to the local sentiment. So, it is obvious that the proportion between the expectation of audience and resources in the hands of film-makers is not seem to be favorable to the industry of Assamese Cinema.
